Fair Food Network is a national nonprofit dedicated to growing the good for a more just and sustainable food system. They pioneer win/win/win solutions that support farmers, strengthen local economies, and increase access to healthy food—especially in the most underserved communities. And bring people together to generate ideas, share resources, and promote policy change to reinvigorate local food economies. Central to their work is building and field-testing programs that create on-the-ground impact, serve as replicable models, and spur public policy change.
The two key efforts include: Double Up Food Bucks, a proven model for healthy food incentives that doubles the value of federal nutrition benefits at farmers markets and participating grocery stores, helping people bring home more locally grown fruits and vegetables; and Fair Food Fund which provides financing and business assistance to innovative good food enterprises that connect small and mid-size farms with consumers hungry for local, sustainably grown food.
